Reflection
The Industry Analysis Report was incredibly fun to do, as it required a significant amount of research and data analysis. I once again enjoyed making use of Microsoft Office skills to format some charts, tables, and graphical elements. I also enjoyed using my bibliography management software for the first time in a while, as compiling sources is one of my favourite parts of writing a paper. I started the process by making an outline with bullet points of the information from each of my sources, then arranged this information until it seemed to be in a cohesive order. I then fleshed out the text, supplementing it with rough approximations of the elements that would become polished graphics in the final document. I then spent a considerable amount of time making sure that everything was attractive and well-formatted, properly sourced, and in a logical order.
Feedback
This assignment fared better than the last, with feedback denoting marked improvement. The feedback I received for this assignment was that the information I provided my SWOT analysis required context. This was due to uncertainty on my part regarding how much detail, exactly, is required for a SWOT analysis, as there seem to be an array of examples, each with varying levels of depth. When taking into consideration the feedback I received on the Career Objectives Report, I erred on the side of conciseness, to my detriment. In the future, I will provide more detail and spend a likely significant amount of time fine-tuning the level of detail I provide so that I may perpetually receive feedback until I understand exactly how much detail is warranted. For this assignment in particular, I think perhaps a single short phrase after each point would have sufficed.
